a journey !!!

When the heart gets saturated beyond what can be called endurable, some of its contents escape the watchful gaze of their possessor and slip ever so quietly into the tangible world --- a place where they DO NOT belong!!!!

Some journeys are meant to be pursued with a heart bursting with indefatigable passion and energy shrill enough to hush all debates of uncertainty… let this be a journey into the unknown, but lets just for once, abandon all the shackles of parochial limitations and travel past  the realm of possibilities and impossibilities….

Let us violate all rules,

jump over the moon

and play with the stars,

alight a bubble of air,

and escape the tentacles of fate,

kiss the timid drops of dew,

and starve the mighty malicious sun,

twist and twirl the wayward clouds,

and brush misty contours in the sky,

intrude the world of deep oceans,

and stitch conspiracies all anew,

cajole the night into a deep slumber,

to betray the awaiting innocent moon,

Entice the intransigent tides,

to divorce the dreary shores.

Let us for once,

drink the air and breathe the rain,

live the dream and dream the real.

Let us,

 just for once,

escape the precincts of time…!

  1. {drink the air and breathe the rain} FUNNY

Unless you are imprisoned by your own impossible desires and dreams in desperation--you have no need to follow your heart.

Heart is full of sentimentalism, which makes you do things the other way around.
If you use your heart, you commit many silly things.
But if you listen to your brain, it keeps your mentality on the right track.
Imagination is from the heart/mind, while IQ is from your head.

Nice little poem of a comedy kind--thanks for sharing.

u couldn't grasp the meaning of the poem perhaps.. not all words and statements have to be read in their literal sense!

lets not get into this heart and mind debate... silly mistakes..? u just dint get it right...

drink the air and breathe the rain...actually meant.. to translate lofty impossible dreams into reality...

poerty involves feeling and delicate sentiments...infusing rationality into each word while reading would simply kill the pleasure of reading and distort the innocent and innocuous meaning of the words...

  3. Thanks for explaining.
I do apologise to have you disappointed on this one.

You know what! In actuality, a dreamy poetry gives out multiple messages only to confuse audience.

However, I do agree with your viewpoint that “poetry of feelings” has meaning/message to be grasped by the reader; yet it’s also a fact that perfect understanding sometimes ruins pleasure.
I hope you understand that a poem does have an impact, yet it’s unfair to expect an audience to understand all the artistic expression.
No doubt, worry/pain is filtered by the poet in a poem, so that it becomes pleasure in the end.

You are right, “poetry needs feelings to understand its delicate sentiments.”
Trust me! I didn't mean to hurt you. It's just that I was at the wrong place at the wrong time.

  5. l love the dichotomy that u present in ur verses, its sensational!!! Nicely woven!

Its quite exceptional how our heart inspires and wishes us do things which seem too incredible and at times incredulous!!! But then its our heart!!

: if today i dream and make it into reality then its because of my heart!! or else my brain wont have allowed me to transcend my material limitations!! it just gets stuck with rationality..........and then one has to call heart(911) for the rescue :D
